As autumn nears, we are excited for a busy season of work and ministry. Construction on the new lodge has been grueling, but we are thankful for the safety we’ve been given as we have worked. However, we are still in need of help — check out the newsletter for details.

We’ve also got some exciting events coming up this fall that we hope you can be a part of. As always, thank you so much for your prayers and donations to this ministry. It is only through your generous giving and prayerful support that we are able to continue to provide excellent, Christ-filled camp experiences for all of our guests.

It’s hard to believe that Summer Camp 2011 is almost over! Today we wrap up Senior High Girls Camp, which has been a wonderful time of fun activities and spiritual growth. And tears. J On Monday, Junior High Girls arrive for their week of camp – be in prayer with us that each young lady will be impacted by the love of Christ and will experience true growth in Jesus next week!

As the summer winds down, things certainly don’t slow down at camp. We’re excited for the many groups that will be using the grounds this fall for church retreats, youth outings and much more! We’ll also have lots of work groups coming out to help us accomplish a variety of things around camp – if you’d like to be a part of the work being done here in any way, give us a call and we’d love to talk with you about how you can help.

Our 2011 Fall Festival is coming up on September 24, 2011. Please come out and join us and be praying about who you could bring with you!

We’re so grateful for the ways God has used camp to impact children and teens this summer. Thank you so much for all of your support and know that we will continue to need your financial and prayer support as we carry on in our work! Enjoy the newsletter!

Camp is in full swing! We have finished two weeks of Kid’s Camp with our last week of Kid’s Camp this week. The kids that have come to camp have been great and we have seen many open their hearts and grow in Jesus! Please continue to pray for the kids, summer staff & staff.

On another note, with all the media coverage of the Missouri River flooding and talk of levees breaking, we still do not anticipate to be directly affected by this flood. Camp is still going on as scheduled! Praise Jesus.

You’ve probably experienced a lot of rain this week! As our prayers go out to Joplin and other areas affected by bad weather, we are thankful to God for keeping us and our property safe. One blessing from the rain has been seeing the beginnings of our lake…which has gone from a large puddle to a small pond in a matter of days! Although the rain brings setbacks on many projects, we remain thankful to our Lord and trust in His provision and timing.

In less than two weeks campers will be here! We are so excited for this upcoming season and the children who will meet Jesus this summer. We hope to see you at some point this summer! Please continue to tell your friends about God’s Mountain and that camp is provided at no cost. Your endorsement is more valuable than any advertisement we could purchase!

Please come and join us THIS SATURDAY, May 28^th, for our God’s Mountain 5k and Open House! The run will begin at 9am, and the Open House will go from 11am-2pm.  Come and check out camp and please invite friends!

Summer is almost here! We’re so excited about the upcoming season and everything that’s going on to prepare for it. Although rain has set us back on some projects, we’re blessed to report that God has used what we see as setbacks to provide for us – read the newsletter to find some of the ways this has happened.

As you pray with us, we ask that you remember two key ways you can contribute both now and in the coming weeks:

n  We need volunteers! To accomplish all we hope to before summer starts will require a constant flow of helpers. Whatever your skills are, there is a place for you to help here! Please pray that God will raise up the people we need and consider how you may be able to be a part of that.

n  Tell people about camp! Neighbors, friends, fellow church-goers…everyone needs to know about God’s Mountain! Remember that we have camps for every age group and that there is no set cost for any camp. Tell someone about God’s Mountain today and give them a registration form you can download off our website: (LINK)

As the days get longer and warmer, we’re blessed to see signs of new life all over!  There is so much going on up here…lots of prep work and construction!  Read about it in this month’s newsletter.  We continue to stand in need of your support – volunteer, prayer and financial – please consider if the Lord would have you get involved!  It truly is our humble privilege to serve the Lord here at God’s Mountain.

NEWSLETTER (PDF)

What a month February has been, we have been blessed to serve a few large outside groups and use all of our sleeping capacity!  It is really neat to see what God is doing in these various groups (the hearts of the individuals).  We have also had lots of snow, a Jubilee Luncheon, multiple camp planning meetings and a few youth and work groups come and serve!  We are so excited as many plans for this spring (building a lodge, finishing the kitchen) and for the coming summer (CAMP!) are well underway.  We really are excited to see what God has in store!

We had a great time at the Jubilee Luncheon last week and would like to extend the invitation to all adults to join us next month on March 17 for our next Jubilee Luncheon.

We, as a staff, really consider it a privilege to be able to lift any prayer needs up, so please let us know if you want us to be praying for you specifically.
